Besakih The Mother Temple and Legong Dance at Ubud

Besakih Temple perched high on the slope of Mount Agung, 3142 meters, the highest peak of Bali, thus it is considered to be the holiest place in Bali. This is Bali’s Mother Temple, the biggest, the most important and the holiest temple on this island. On the way to get there, we will stop at Tohpati, the center of Balinese hand weaving and hand made Batik process. Then we will proceed to Klungkung, the old capital of Bali (1740-1908), to see the Court of Justice (Kerta Gosa), and the Floating Pavilion (Bale Kambang), whose murals are decorated by the best examples of classical Balinese painting. Afterwards, we will stop at Bukit Jambul, ‘the crested hill’ with nice view of terraced rice fields for take Lunch at local restaurant. On the way back, we will visit the Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah), an ancient Hindu-Buddhist hermitage dated from XI century and than go to ubud stop for shoping at art market and see Legong Dance at Puri Saren in Center of Ubud.

Kintamani, Ubud and Uluwatu Kecak Dance Tour

Bedugul, Singaraja & Pupuan with rice terraced Tours

Uluwatu & Kecak Dance – Sea Food Dinner

We will take you to Uluwatu Temple, a cliff edge temple at 95 meters above sea level, with fantastic view to the Indian Ocean. This is the masterpiece of Nirartha, a holy priest from XVI century, and a great place to watch the sunset over the sea that filled with sailing outriggers (jukung). Afterwards, we will witness the performance of Monkey (Kechak) Dance, the most unique dance among Balinese dances. It is not accompanied by any instrumental music, but by a male chorus performed by over 70 men. Their hands and torso movements with sudden jerks swaying back and forth illuminated by torchlight, gives an unreal impression. In the middle of the circular stage, The Ramayana Story will be performed as the Hindu version of Romeo and Juliet but with happy ending.
